When you hear the word introvert, you might think of someone shy, quiet, or who prefers to be alone. On the other hand, introverts are more concerned with an individual's energy level.

They are known to be more comfortable focusing on their inner thoughts and ideas and prefer spending time with a small group rather than a large group. They have no issue interacting socially; however, some people feel fatigued after extensive social contact.

A combination of inherited genes and environmental influences can influence personality aspects. Environmental factors such as parenting, education, peer interactions, and life events, particularly in childhood, influence how a person's personality develops.

Types of Introverts

Social introverts

Social introverts are the primary introverts who love socializing in small groups rather than large crowds. Social introverts may feel "drained" even when having fun if they spend too much time in crowds. This emotional weariness is not synonymous with shyness or anxiousness.

These types of introverts also prefer to have free time for themselves. They still associate with a small group and enjoy their own company.
