Assuring that your home is always spotless is an effort to protect your family's and your own health. A hygienic and germ-free home can effectively protect members of one's family from infections caused by viruses, bacteria, or pathogens. This requires routine house cleaning in order to maintain an environment free of dangerous microorganisms.
Keep your house clean: a step-by-step guide
A lot of people think it's hard to keep their house clean because they don't have enough time. Because of this, housework is done only once a weekend. The increased accumulation of dust and filth that results from this practice is unpleasant and potentially harmful to health.
Keeping your house clean on a daily basis is easy if you follow these steps:
Wake up and clean the bed immediately
After waking up, shake the mattress to remove dust, rearrange the pillows and bolsters, and fold the blanket neatly. To keep your bed clean, change the sheets and pillowcases every 1-2 weeks. If you have allergies or sweat a lot, replace your sheets and pillows more frequently.
Wash dirty clothes immediately
Due to limited time, many people only wash dirty clothes 2-3 times per week. Everyday washing, however, really simplifies the task and keeps mold off your clothing. Wash clothes with mild detergent and adjust the washing technique according to the fabric.
Regularly cleaning your washing machine is just as important as keeping clean clothes. Usually, use washing machine cleaning fluid two to three times a month or whenever dirt seems to accumulate. To avoid long-term problems with the washing machine's operation, clean the hose and water scale connected to it.
Clean the kitchen after cooking
The cooking procedure is healthier and the possibility of bacterial and germ contamination is reduced in a clean kitchen. Throw away cooking garbage right away, and wash eating and cooking utensils after use, to maintain a clean kitchen. Using soapy water or a disinfectant solution safe for kitchen equipment, clean every surface in the kitchen. If needed, deep clean the kitchen three or four times a month.
Clean the bathroom area
Someone may become infected with viruses and bacteria that cause diarrhea if the bathroom is not maintained properly. You may start keeping the bathroom clean by cleaning every component of the toilet, including the flush button, handle, floor, and sink.
Regular cleaning of carpets, sofas, and mats
If your home is furnished with carpet, you should regularly clean the carpet and settee. Carpets and fabric sofas can be consistently vacuumed. In the meantime, leather sofas should be cleaned between the pleats using a cloth dipped in soapy water or a particular leather cleaner.
Regularly replacing the carpets and coverings is another essential step in maintaining a tidy home. Particularly for mats placed outside the home, promptly wash any that seem dirty.
It is the responsibility of every member of the family to keep the house tidy. All family members are responsible for maintaining cleanliness in the home. By distributing the responsibility of routinely cleaning the house, your workload will be minimized. In addition to regular maintenance of cleanliness, it is recommended to perform a thorough cleaning of your house on a monthly basis or whenever necessary.
