Botulinum toxin, a substance injected into specific areas of the face, is used in Botox. Botox injections are not only used to treat wrinkles on the face, but they are also effective in relieving muscle tension and migraines.

Botulinum toxin, when administered into a muscle, can cause the muscle to relax by blocking the release of acetylcholine, a chemical that triggers muscle contractions. This treatment effectively reduces facial wrinkles or eases the muscle tension associated with specific medical conditions.

A qualified doctor should perform Botox to avoid harmful side effects.
